So I got my I2 back today after 1 1/2 weeks in the shop to fix damage caused by big rig. I know they had to take out my battery, etc and reset my radio codes and whatever. But when I got in to drive it home I noticed my trip A mileage only showed about 2.4 miles, which is what they probably drove it. My range remaining is accurate w/ 149 miles left. My Eco meter is still accurate, showing all three stages filled.
But my MID mpg will be way off for Fuelly because I only go by the trip odometer each time, and now that's not accurate anymore. I haven't gone by total accrued miles.
So my questions are:
1. Should I just skip this tank for Fuelly altogether and just record my next full fill up? Or should I try to guess how many miles I have already driven, based on known commute distance and range remaining and record that?
2. Is there anything I need to do with the MID reset-wise at this point?
It was more involved than just the bumper. I wish. Yes it was necessary to remove/reinstall battery. Damage doesn't look that bad to the eye but was more involved. In the shop for 1 1/2 weeks. I'll be happy to send you the four-page estimate showing what got done.
Funny thing I'm getting about 10 mpg less than usual on my regular route. Maybe this is because the car "thinks" I'm only about 40 miles in on a new tank?

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but from what you explained it could be possible that the body of your car is tweaked. With the Insights being made from aluminum and you getting hit by a big rig it could have tweaked it just enough to twist the body so the car doesn't track straight anymore.
The only way you could find out if the car is straight would be to take it to a body shop who actually straigthens cars. Hope this helps.
Okay thanks. The car is going to the dealer on Weds so will have them check it out. I don't think it's out of alignment but we'll see. Appreciate the heads up though.

No issues with my alignment. Car reflecting the usual mpg now that I've done a fill up and have driven some miles. The shop did a great job on the car. Glad my collision was very slow speed.
Oscar here, I apologize for the late post. Just want to clarify some things. My honda city 2001 was out for repair. the problem was that, there was a noise coming from near the brake pads just after the car repair. I asked the service center what was the problem...he says there's something wrong with the wheels or the tires. is someone here has the idea what causes the said noise...? do i need to replace some parts in order for my auto to work again? experts out there please post your ideas about it...Thanks in advance.
