Torn Weather Stripping

I have a 2010 Honda Insight that I purchased in early Dec 2009. Yesterday I found about a 6 inch rip in the weather stripping on the floor of the hatchback. Has anyone had a problem like this. I assume that this problem will be repaired under my new car warranty. I am concerned that this may be a marginal design that may reoccur for me or other Insight Users.

Has anyone experience this sort of problem with their Insight.

I had to replace the stripping on my back passenger door last week. No cost, but they had to order the part and I had to go back.
