Default BlueTooth system noise?

People I speak with on the phone complain of issues talking to me on my phone via the hands free link speaker phone in the car. Even stopped at lights in autostop mode they complain of noise. Does anyone have any information on possible issues with this?

I'm using a Blackberry for the phone on my Insight v.2

There is handsfree mic gain setting on my SSD satnav based I2 ES-T which if set to high would pick up way too much background noise. Not sure whether you have the pure bluetooth system or the satnav based one but I would suggest checking the mic gain and any other similar settings.

I have an I.v2 With Navi so yeah, I'll look for the mic Gain. Any idea where it is in the menu tree? Is it on the sat nav's menu tree I assume?

Figured it out.

I took my cordless outside and called myself while sitting in the car then muted the cordless/land line phone. The cel phone puts out the digital cel signal "blipblipblipblipdedededededeededeblip" interference noise that is ONLY picked up by the microphone in nearly all cases. If the phone is sitting on the door in the door handle (where I put it to keep it at hand AND to remember to take it when I exited the car) it delivers it's interference to the car's mic pickup and plays havoc with what the party on the phone hears.

On my person (belt) and strangely, in the dash storage compartment does NOT cause the interference noise. One would think proximate to the audio system itself would cause more noise but it does not. It also of course causes noise when the phone is near the microphone itself.

I have a Blackberry 8310.
