Default Windshield Wipers

I had my wipers on intermittent yesterday. However, I noticed when I was sitting on the expressway in the rain, everytime I took my foot off the brake they would wipe, even if they just did a second ago. I played with it to make sure I wasn't going nuts, but it would do it every time. Never noticed this before and had the car a year. Is this normal ?

Default Wiper Answer !

After calling 2 dealers, I have my answer

"Your variable wipers are speed sensitive – as you change speed, the intermittent time varies. When you take your foot off the brake, the car uses that 0 mph baseline to set the intermittent time. Every Honda with speed sensitive variable wipers (not all of them have the speed sensors yet) does the same thing – so it’s neither a hybrid thing nor a problem.
