IIRC, our engine oil capacity is 3.4 qts only, but during my recent oil change at Honda dealer, they poured in all 4 qts such that when I check dipstick later, the oil level is higher than the "H" mark.
Question is, does the extra 0.6 qts oil do any harm to my engine? Should I complain to the dealer and request them to drain the extra oil?
wont hurt any. i'd take a siphon to the dipstick area and pump out a bit of it. you get cheapo plastic siphons with hand pumps around at most auto stores for 10 bucks or so which will allow you to lower the oil level.
most mechanics are lazy and overfill it all the time.

I found the same thing after my last dealer oil change. Have never worried about this in the past, but have wondered why most makers warn about not over filling?
i did my 1st oil change on ramps, and it took 4 qts to bring it back to the full line. i dumped the original old oil back into the bottles i just used and it filled them right up. the manual states 4 qts total, i wonder if ramps help get out the other .6 qts vs a straight service station lift? in response to pablo, over filling could allow the oil to touch the crank shaft, which would act like a egg beater foaming the oil and possibly leading to loss of oil pressure due to cavitation.
I did that too. Its just a tad above full on the dip stick. I do not think that bit of oil will harm anything. Som people will just use 3 qts to save weight and cost since these cars do not seem to have any oil consumption.
Id rather have a bit too much, than less myself.

In older engine (80s, 90s), they reason that overfilling engine oil can cause crank end to stir the oil, causing bubble, and the oil going to oxide early. Dont know how it fair in a hybrid engine though.

Engine oil capacity is 4.0 qts with the filter.
Oil required for a change is 3.4 qts with filter.
To answer your question, on a lift it only drains about 3.5, on ramps/ front end only jacked I got 4 also. I have access to a lift chances are next time it will be done there i will re-drain it into the bottles to see for sure.
As a side note I see Wal-mart finally has 5 qt bottles of 0w20 Mobil 1 in stock at least by me, you save about $6 vs buying 4 qts over time.

lots of cast iron in the basement.
I have heard terrible things about the run flats...high replacement cost, need for early replacement.
I recall several threads on PriusChat where people complained that overfilling the oil was very detrimental to fuel efficiency. I personally have no idea.
