That looks righ to me Cheesie. Group 51 is just a specification standard for size. Group 51 is the size you need.

The R means that the + and - are reversed from the standard battery. The picture you show has the + terminal correct for our cars.

The DLG dash number probably means Dura Last Gold.

The sellers are never liable for things you modify.

I think that you are good to install it. Let us know how it goes.

k thanx

is that a good amount of amps i got?? 500 or 625??
idk anythin bout batteries but im pretty confident i can install it myself

ill just undo the negative thing first then the positive ( red one right?) the take out the plastic holder too and when putting the new battery on ill just connect the red one ( +) first and then the negative

but i dont get it cobb or someone else said that the car starts with the new battery ( not with the hybrid battery anymore)

does that really matter?

The start with the car battery and engine starter was a one time deal as I recall.

Don't worry about cranking amps.

The only other think I can add is if you have a stock radio, make sure you get your radio code BEFORE you disconnect the battery. Someone may have written in your manual somewhere. Otherwise your dealer can get it for you. I think you might can get it from the Honda owners link.

I'm not sure what all you will lose when you remove the battery. You might lose some MID data such as trip counter, avg mpg, or something like that. Or maybe not. Just be willing to accept if some of that stuff resets.

yeah ive got my battery disconnected before
i can live with the reset data and i got the code too

i paid 120 for this battery!!!!
i think i overpaid... it better be better than the regular duralast brand

right now i have 39.5 mpg and going down for some reason, ive bin drivin the same i even stoped driving S mode for a while but hasnt worked...

one last question..
when i switch to the new battery should i do the reg thing where i stay on P and set up the handbrake so i can charged both batteries to have a good start??
or maybe i should drive it first before doin that?

The regen is a matter of opinion. My suggestion would be to do the regen just BEFORE you swap out the battery. That will make sure that the IMA battery is charged. After that, swap out the 12 volt battery, then take it for a drive (about 15 minutes) and see how it behaves. It should behave normally or better than normal.

I wouldn't worry about the cost. First of all, you've already paid. That's behind you. Second, a new battery should help in the long run. If you overpaid by $40, that's just a couple of dollars a month in the long run. If you really worry about that stuff, you need to do your homework before you go out to buy.

Wow, thats some specs. My battery is like 70 amp reserve and 435 cold cranking. I paid a little over 69 bucks.

My car started only once with the 12 volt starter. Never heard it before and I had disconnected the battery to reset the computer. It starts normal since then.

When you restart the car it will do a regen anyway, Id save the gas.

If you are really anal, you would hook the battery to a charger over night to top it off. They are typically 80% charged from the factory. Make sure you get a new looking clean battery. If its dusty and dirty, Id exchange it.

Cheesie how many miles your I2 has? I'm in the 27,000 range and starting to get the force regens a lot more frequently like some have been reporting. I am also thinking about upgrading my 12V battery as it appears to help with force regens and economy as well.
