anyone hear bout honda recall on the fit?

i hope there isnt anything on the I2 that gets in the recall unless they want to update the computer to stop regen up hills.. lol

The 2009 and later Fit/Jazz is powered by a 16-valve Vtec unit, that engine is the subject of the recall.


Insight 2 uses the 1.4Dsi 8-valve twin-sparkplug unit of the 2002-08 Jazz/Fit so unlikely to be affected.

The 16V and 8V units are very different offspring of the Honda family of engines.

Non-Vtec engines have a red dot in the model logo, Vtec have a blue dot

The US models have a 1.3l dsi engine from the previous fit.

Last recall I saw was about teh window switches getting hot, or catching fire if they got wet.

Keep in mind the power band for max hp is at 5400 rpms, once you exceed that the IMA systems comes back, in the middle it regens for when you need more power as you have more needs than it can supply. Basically it turns yeller and runs....
