Default Honda Insight 2011 paint

Hi,
I've had my Insight 4 months now. I am pleased with the interior and the smooth running of the vehicle. However, I have found the paint chips off quite easily. The paint never chipped off my previous car, a 1999 Mazda Protege and it went through alot of rough roads. I haven't even been on rough roads yet.

Is this a potential problem with the paint job of the vehicle? That is, perhaps it didn't receive whatever coatings cars receive or however many coatings a car receives?

It's very frustrating because I already have 3 chips.

Thank you,
Anne-Marie

This has been my experience too, the paint scratches and chips more easily than most cars. Mine has 28K and there are numerous tiny chips of the hood and a number of scratches some of which I know were caused by very little contact, like the garden hose while washing it.
