Default tire middle tread disapearing!

i notice yesterday when washing my car that on only one tire!! (the back one on the passenger side)
the tread in the middle is werring worn out!! the right part of the middle is gone and the left side of the middle is going away
its very weird cause its only on that one tire!

i started putting more air in my tires ( 43 psi, lowered it to 40 now, but the max psi is 55) a month ago
they cant just start wearing out that fast!, i mean the max psi is 55 and i wasnt even near that, and its on only one tire!
im going to have them rotated tomorrow and see what americas tire co tell me

but i wanna get advice here too
please anybody

Hard cornering or bad alignment. Most likely bad alignment and I don't think tire pressure has anything to do with that wear, rear tires usually don't get any wear at all on a front wheel drive car, which you can probably tell from the other rear tire prior to its first rotation.

Check the alignment, make sure a pothole hasn't bent something out of range.

check the depth at 4 different points all around the tire. Then compare that to 4 different points around the other tires.

Have you been driving in heavy rain of late, and had the anti-skid working out? It looks like you made a hard landing with your foot on the brakes, so the only thing similar to that in a car would be hard braking with the anti-skid doing it's thing.

What is the recommended PSI? Too much tire pressure will cause EXACTLY the wear you are seeing, although a 5 psi difference from the recommended pressure doesn't seem like it would do that kind of damage that quickly.

If that is the case, it wouldn't surprise me that this is the wear you are seeing. I'd be interested to see what the other tires look like. My guess is they all exhibit this behavior but aren't extreme enough to have worn away the tread completely.

So, how frequently do you rotate your tires?

Since its the one tire I would suggest an alignment. Could be that part is out of whack of it was a manufacturing tire defect of the tire. Did you get the tire warranty and what did they say?

weelll
heres an answer for everyone(sorry for the long reply)
i toook it to the ony tire place where i take my car ( americas tires co., thats where i bought them, including the full warranty)
they said it was over inflation
i used to leave them at 36-38 psi then switch to 43 psi for like 2 months before noticing the tire wear
now i have them at 40 psi
they didnt say theyll replace them, in fact they said im going to need new tires on my next rotation!!

gotta start saving up money...

just today i took it to just tires and they said it needs an aligment just as i thout because the other tires dont look worn out! this is the only one and the right side of the car is the side thats been having bad luck with putholes

so they charge me 80 for the aligment and 80 more for the "camber kit bolt" that need to be replaced!!!!
i think thats bullsh!t
but im not sure since i dont know bout cars that much

i thout cars dont have camber kits, that you only need them to straight the tires after installing a set of coilovers

so i did research and i dont think my car has a camber kit
correct me if im wrong please

this guys said if the do the aligment without the camber kit bolt will be like throwing money away since the bolt is needed to sustain the aligment

the bolt i need is in the right front side and the left front side might need to be replaced soon

is this true???

tomorrow im taking the car to a place where i got it aligned right after i lowered it
they never said anything bout camber kit bolts or having to go back for an alignment so often

im getting advice from them

but id like to get advice form you guys also since i feel like everywhere i go ill just get jacked.....

They do make kits. I got one for the Fit for 10 bucks on ebay. I was running -3 degreesof camber, now 2.

Camber wears the edges of the tires not the center. The center is worn from over inflation or shock problem.

I have the avids and am running 47psi with no problems.
