Default oem tire rub during aggresive cornering?

Finally wrung out the Insight on a stretch of winding, hilly, road and encountered what sounded/felt like front tire rub when cornering (harsh, heavy handed stuff). I realize this thing is no sports car but something up front sure wasn't happy being tossed around. Anyone else notice this? (spec air pressure in tires, no suspension mods.)

None here, but I have made them smell like rubber on some off ramps. Amazing how sharp the i2 can steer. Rolls like a mutha too.

If you've got some tread left and nothing better to do ... once you get the roll going "let it rebound" (as opposed to say a gentle release) and see if you get any unusual feedback. Granted it's not an issue for normal spirited driving events but it's something that got me wondering (or worried?). Thanks.

My previous cars I steer soo hard they drift around corners, off and on ramps. This i2 is velcroed to the ground and I just go for it.
