Climate Control System shuts off durning hard stop
Ran into an issue the other day where during a very hard stop the climate control system shut off. When I say shut off I mean it completely cuts out. I understand that normally the system will suspend itself after coming to a full stop and then will kick back on with the engine when resuming travel. This time the climate system went out and the temp display when black. After comming to a complete stop, the system was in the OFF mode. Had physically hit the AUTO button for the AC to resume. Has anyone else run into this?
I cant remember, but I think I had that happen as well as the engine doing something strange. I had a deer jumo out in front of me and did a panic stop. All loose items in the back of my car was now in the floor pan area. I want to say once i cam to a stop the car lurched forward a foot as the motor refired from auto stop and the "clutch" gripped vs slipped.
Its not something I want to repeat, but those yoks are velcroed to the road.

My 2010 ex non-navi does the same thing from time to time. When it does it it seems to do it a few times during the trip but then it may not happen again for weeks. I haven't been able to make it happen either, it just happens. Usually I don't notice it until the temp becomes uncomfortable since I don't generally have the vents blowing directly on me.
Just had this issue happen again the other day. This time was a little different. I was traveling at about 45 and the hvac blower cycled on and off a few times. Didn't have to touch anything and it returned to normal. Turned right around and went to the dealership who couldn't reproduce it.... Figures. Anyone else had any similar issues with there climate system?
Here is something I think you people with the G2 should start doing.
Try monitoring the 12V battery for a while. With the blower on the climate control running, there is a heavy draw on the 12V battery. The IMA system tries to compensate for that drain. That in turn would shut the blower until the voltage in the 12V got back to "normal". Just a suggestion. A scangauge or a plug in 12V gauge to the 12V accessory socket is the best solution.

Ive put my I2 through its paces with high output subs, extra batteries, lots of driving both highway and stop n go for hours on end. Unless I am in auto mode the blower runs a constant speed.
Now sometimes when I go from auto to manual control I will see it switch from outside to inside air when auto stop kicks in.
Another guy on here who has 70+ thousand miles said his blower was replaced. I guess cranking it up and leaving it on full speed should show any faults in a short amount of time. Typically when the brushes wear out it starts to make a noise and after a few minutes of use it should vary in speed if not stop.
