First, let me say I really like my Insight. I know it will jerk from a stop but I know how to start the car from a stop and I haven't had that problem since I had the few weeks that I had the car.
I say the paint stinks on the Insight. I notice marks on my paint all the time. I religiously wash, wax, and clay my car. But it doesn't matter. After a few months I noticed tons of marks on the car. My 2007 Chrysler 300 C has much better paint and it looks in better condition than my 1.5 year old Insight. That is where I think Honda skimped. Maybe someday I will get the car repainted with better quality paint.
Most likely, sometime this summer I am going to get my entire car repainted. I want to get the same color but a better paint or maybe more layers of paint? Any suggestions?
I have little dings that turn orange on my hood and roof. It must be all rocks. I thought this was normal, because I am not used to having a car that was brand new from the get-go, so I had just been touching them up when I wax the car twice a year (which is when I would spot them). Then someone told me a car this age should not be getting these. Is that true? do you think the dealer will do anything if I bring it in?

Mine is Tango Red and I am having the same problem of paint missing without an obvious reason no chips or other damage but tiny spots without paint i noticed on a regular basis. I use to retouch them then wax the whole car on a monthly basis
