Default CHECK IMA SYSTEM after flood

Recently there was a flood in my area...water level was about 20cm high...without thinking twice ..I drove my 2012 Honda Insight through the flood....within seconds the onboard computer shows the CHECK IMA SYSTEM warning light and message...I managed to drove it to dry ground...restart the car...and the warning disappeared...is the any permanent damage done to my car

facepalm.... You should never drive ANY car into a flooded road. I did that to my 97 Honda prelude drove it right across a flooded bridge, I made it but I screwed up the transmission... I would get that thing in the shop ASAP to see if it is serious...

Can you tell us the code from a code scanner or a auto store like advance or auto zone? Its likely a p1586. After a few key cycles the check engine light should go out, but the code will still be in memory.

The IMA system has like a ground fault circuit and will trip at the slightest sign of a unsafe situation. The IMA system is in a plastic tub in the rear inside the metal tub between the rear wheels. Just look under the rear bumper where the hookie thing is sticking down.

I wouldnt try to forge water in any vehicle as that can get into bearings, gear boxes, etc and screw up stuff down the road.
