One thing we've leared about the Insight is the importance of keeping the Insight's tires at Honda's specified pressures (or more) in order to keep rolling resistance low to achieve the fuel efficiency the Insight is capable of. Since some air will leak over time, this means regularily checking your tire pressures.

While nothing can beat the accuracy of a digital or dial-type tire pressure gauge, here's a great way to always keep an eye on your tire pressures, as suggested by Tim Thompson:

Having had my tires lose air on 2 occasions I purchased 2 sets of Tire Minders, 1 pair set at 39/40 psi and 1 pair at 35/36 psi.

These replace the valve stem cap and have a visual (green, yellow, red) display to warn you of low tire pressure. The yellow warning shows when down 4 psi and red at 8 psi.

Cost: $19.95 for 2 sets from Minder Research Brampton, ON Canada (800-5MEMORY).

They also have a set for 37/38 and lower psi settings.
