2004 Honda Insight Hybrid CVT (automatic) with 108,000 miles. Great sub-compact commuter car. Park in tight spaces. I get 55 mpg but my best commute was 70.2 mpg from Austin to Denton.
I am the second owner. The battery is 6 years old. It comes with a charger/discharger to condition the battery a couple times a year for longevity. It has never been in a wreck.
The hybrid battery was replaced 5 years ago by Frank Fletcher Honda at 80,000 miles. The battery pack has 28,000 miles on it. I have conditioned it with a charger/discharger as NiMH batteries do well with simple, occasional maintenance. The 12v was replaced 6 months ago. The tires are 4 years old and in good condition.
I replaced the suspension for the rear due to bottoming out. I lowered the rear by 2” with Monroe shocks and stiffer coil springs. It has a mild rattle noise on bumpy roads on the right rear shock but handles well on corner. Sometimes during a very hard rain, the driver seatbelt will be wet. An easy fix but hasn't bothered me enough. I haven’t noticed any oil leaks. Some small dents here and there. minor hail damage hood and trunk. Minor oxidation to right rear bumper. Deer ran into driver side door with moderate dent. No Engine or IMA Codes Showing.
Ipod, USB and 3.5mm jack with aftermarket stereo that plays videos even while driving.
