Default June trip to Denmark.

My wife and I are visiting Denmark in our A123 Insight via the Harwich to Esjberg ferry.

Arriving 13/6 and leaving on 1/7.

Any advice on nice places (holiday cottages or lodges) to stay and routes around the country. gratefully received. Marguerite driving route?

We will probably base ourselves in two locations one north of country for first week and one south in second. We have done Copenhagen before so not so worried about that.

We like quiet rural spots, castles, history, art etc. No nightlife etc required.

Any issues with bringing the car to Denmark?

I'm in Denmark now and we have just settled into our first cottage.

Nice secluded spot on the east coast and the A123 Insight is now charging.

First impressions the roads are in very good repair, quiet, straight and it's pretty flat. Headlights have to be on when running which is a bit of a waste but oh well.

Meter is pegged at 150mpg Imp last 70Km since getting off the ferry.
I'll have to switch to km to get an idea of l/100km.

Hi Pete, that sound like totally fun, "got exceptional mileage will travel far"
And no rush, how can you beat that? Don't know Denmark but this might help.

The wind was horrific for first few days so mpg took a hit and down to 120mpg Imp but holding steady now.
2.3l/100km

Default Ferry Incident

Hell might not be able to get back to blighty? That's our ferry.

BBC News - Sirena Seaways ferry damaged hitting Harwich dock

Oh well they have 9 days to fix it.

Might have to stay on holiday what a bummer.

As in Sweden… LED DRL's are less wasteful.

Good luck returning to England! I would think that the ferry company would do everything possible to avoid canceling during the busy summer season.

Have had to book a different ferry as ours still not fixed!
Now have to do a 1000km high speed run tomorrow to Rotterdam. Bugger.
Fuel economy won't be the best as will need to maintain a 100kmh average for nigh on ten hours.

Currently 2.7L/100km over about 4000km so far this holiday.
Used and depleted full A123 pack every day so about 2.5kwh a day.
