I bit of an update.... the mounts are out and of course now sold out. The final version only allows use of the Accord or TSX transmission (or outer case to be exact). You CAN use the RSX case but not without mods. This was necessary to get the engine up high enough off the ground and far back enough to make Brain happy enough to put his name on them.

This works out pretty well. Luckily enough, I bought an Accord transmission from the local pull-a-part last year. The gearing should put me ~3300rpm at 75mph. Should be better for economy than ~3700rpm from the EP3 trans or ~4000rpm from my K20Z1 trans.

BongoBennie do you know what would be the modifications needed to the RSX case so it works with the Hasport mounts?

I would like to keep using the RSX shift cables and the CL TYPE S shifter that I found fit perfectly in the car and with the shift cables.

Someone asked something similarly enough of Brian at Hasport on his show on Tuesday. His recommendation was to convert the shift mechanism on an Accord transmission to the RSX's. The RSX casing physically doesn't fit inside the engine bay where he managed to stuff the Accord box.

That's what i was planning to do. My only concern is the shift cable stay bracket... TSX/Accord wont work with the RSX shift cables... i'll have to find a way...

FWIW the Insight shifter box works fine with RSX cables and is smaller, not sure why you'd ever change it. Accord shift box fits under the Insight console, needs a tiny bit of trimming but it looks completely stock.

I could not use the Insight shift box because i am going to use a 6spd transmission. I found that the CL Type S shifter is identical to the Insight but is 6spd.

That was before Hasport released their new mounts... I had already bought Innovative but am going to trash them and use Hasport. Thats why I came up with this issue wich is not a big thing but that i still have to get around... already have all of the parts needed and dont want to have to start over sourcing many parts.

Ill manage to use the RSX cable holder.. if too complicated, ill go the TSX shifter + shift cables way...

If you look at the picture below you'll see side by side the CL and Insight shifters...

From memory **I believe** you can shave the outer bolt off but it only leaves two which **I also believe** is deemed acceptable by some. Accord case is swappable **I and I once again believe** the parts can be swapped within the case to keep your shifter....

What I would do instead of taking my word is ask Brian directly. Either on FB messenger or on his youtube channel VTEC Academy he does Midnight Oil live and there are about 50 people tuned in. You can get a ton of stuff from him then. Then you can go back and forth with him and right now he is building 3 of his own so it's a good time to get him going on the subject.
