Default Brown Insight???

Found this perusing car-part.com:

https://imageappoh.car-part.com/imag...ock%23%20W29#1

The car is in salvage in CA. (removed comments about.the color that I was unable to substantiate with a Google search.) iIt looks like it has relatively minor collision damage on the passenger side by the headlight.

Always cool to see a custom color!

There has been a white and a black one. I think there was some kind of purple and a different color red too.

Permitted to order them in custom colors? Eh, I don't believe that.

If you look at the pictures in the link to the car, look at the one of the vin tag, sure appears to have been a silver car from the factory.

As far as dealers being able to order custom colors from the factory, never heard of that. There were different colors available for other markets like Japan & U.K., and Canada that the U.S. didnít get.

Some ricer spray painted his Insight purple and is trying to sell it for $4k on Facebook marketplace. That's what I would call an ugly G1..

Now Obsidian blue, aahhh.

I've always liked Honda's newer mocha brown, I wonder how that would look on a G1?

I've always liked brown cars. That looks like a nice paint job from the pics. How much does a body shop roughly charge to get an insight painted like that?

wish I had a paint code for that brown too
