What do most Insight folks use, the Max Volts brand? They will not tell me the charge current spec!! WOW!! Are they the way to go?

I use a Maxx Volts charger. It works great and I haven't had any problems with it. They are also much cheaper than other chargers. They aren't as user-friendly as others, but as long as you know what you're doing it's fine. They do have fairly good customer support too. I just charge for 24 hours, then discharge to about 90v, then repeat. Hope this helps

I'm not quite as bright as the average bear. Are you saying that you attach this power supply to your IMA to charge it? And I assume if you do that you would be keeping a pretty close eye on the voltage in the battery. Is this what you are doing?

Yes.

Not any more than you'd do with any of the 'vendor' chargers. I do run my fan with the OBDIIC&C though. If you didn't have one of those you'd need an extra 12V supply to power the fan.
