I just looked at Maxx Volts web site, correct me if I'm wrong, however I don't see and application for your car. Do they offer one?

Does the G2 even need to be grid charged? I have a 2010. The battery capacity is lower than the G1 and they have better management after the software updates. I've never even heard of a G2 IMA going bad. But I guess it must be possible...

Does anyone know if a "dumb" trickle charge grid charger for a G1 Insight, like Mike D's original design, work with a G2? Or will it cause problems because the IMA battery voltage is lower?

It would work with one of the CV 48V power supplies removed or bypassed for charging, but the fan is likely PWM controlled, so you would need a different cooling solution.
