Default What a Change!

I just picked up my 2010 Insight EX on Friday. I was driving a 2007 Element before and I loved that car, but for the past year my commute has been 80 miles round trip, and I was burning through gas. So far this week I am averaging about 47mpg! My wallet appreciates the change!

Talking Welcome!!

Welcome and glad you are happy with your insight, If you have not already done so, go to Fuelly | Share and Compare Your MPG and create an account and put the app on your smartphone and track your mileage. This will help you recognize gas staions that you get better mileage from and will help you become more effecient when driving. Kinda like a game for me and others!

Just signed up over at Fuelly! I will start logging my information with my next fill up.

Cobb, I really loved my Element. It was the first "thing" I bought when I joined the Army, and it was a great utilitarian vehicle. At that time, I was only driving about 16 miles a day, so mileage was never an issue. Now that I'm a civilian, my commute has gone to over a 80 miles a day, and as much as I loved my Element, the money I was spending on gas was killing me.

Now that I've had the car for a bit, I can say that I really enjoy it. It's not as nice as my wife's 2013 TDI Jetta, but for the price I paid, and how much money I'm saving, I honestly have no complaints. The only problem I've really had is that the car truly hates grooved pavement. Otherwise it's a very fun car to drive, and I enjoy the "challenge" of trying to get the most MPG on each trip.
