Default Meet the 190 MPH Insight driver

I have set up a meet and greet with Brian who drove the 190 MPH Insight record attempt two years ago. Here is a video of him accelerating when he lost traction at 190 and rolled.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbNlR-fMlOw

The event will be at HASPORT (Honda/Acura Sport) here in Phoenix.

Don (Mesa, AZ)

Itinerary:
11-Noon: Gather and have lunch, location is Joe's Real BBQ
https://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/16772787779/
1-2pm: Meet at HASport for the next couple of hours
4pm: When finished visiting with Brian anyone who wants go to car gathering in Scottsdale (link below)
6-7pm: After the car gathering if anyone is left and is hungry I will buy pizza for everyone at Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa.

For lunch gather by the old Gilbert water tower across from Joe's BBQ, come into East Valley from the 60 freeway, turn south on Gilbert Rd, go about 3 miles, turn west on Page St towards the tower and go to the parking lot in the back past the tower. There is usually a farmers market on Saturdays so it might be busy but just drive to the last row of the big parking lot and we can gather there and walk to Joes BBQ.

Addresses:
Joes Real BBQ: 301 N. Gilbert Rd. Gilbert AZ 85234
HASport: 2849 S. 44th St. Phoenix AZ 85040

Organ Stop Pizza: 1149 E Southern Ave. Mesa, AZ 85204

Brian will give us a tour of their shop including CNC machining room, laser cutting table room, various other rooms including current project car conversions projects going on. Here are a few pictures.
CNC Room:

Next Inisght project https://www.flickr.com/photos/748946...n/photostream/

Brian by his car https://www.flickr.com/photos/748946...n/photostream/

Word don't describe seeing what is left of his car and where they cut him out after it rolled. Brian is a great guy and would love to meet all of us and talk about his shop and cars and the record speed attempt.

I was thinking meet around 11-12 for lunch somewhere and then get to Brian's shop around 1-2pm. After a few hours with him go over to the car show in Scottsdale and fill an isle with Insights.

I'm leaning toward 3/28 so it isn't to hot, if you can make it I highly encourage it because Brian is amazing to talk to and it is really cool seeing their shop.

I'm local, so I can probably make any date work. I'll need to clear it with the wife, and I'd like some assurances from you Insight drivers that I won't be ridiculed for showing up in my HCH2
