Default Hot air intake mod - like for gen 1?

Gen 1 has a popular DIY hot air intake mod which sucks air heated by the cat converter, resulting in serious MPG improvement

Does a similar mod exist for gen2? 2012?

Hmmmm. How would hot air improve fuel econ? Just coming from an old school thought that cold more condensed air improves HP and Fuel econ.

Would it cause the engine to run lean? = burning less fuel?

The gen 2 likes cold air. Hot air makes it pull timing and wimp out.
