Immobilizer Antenna Ring Failure
Had a call from a customer friend, his 2000 G1 would crank but not start. He ended up having the car towed in to us at Jue Motors. The car had been sitting for a couple months as the customer lives in a local mountain community.
We tried to start the car and noticed the, green immobilizer key flashing on the left side of the instrument cluster. Contacted the customer and asked if he had a second key? He did, and got it to us. Tried the second key, same result, green immobilizer icon flashing on the cluster.
After doing research and some basic tests on the car we changed the Immobilizer Antenna Ring from a parts car, it fixed the car.
