Have your 12 V battery "load" tested. It take app. 10.2V to actuate the IMA system for starting.

So my battery tested good (12.86v @ 588 cca). The ground cables look good as well. There is definitely something going on though. On my drive from work yesterday, while moving, my car quite motor assist, Regen braking, and autostop. No I'ma light. I took my key out, put it back in, everything is good again and drove normal for another hour. Something has to be intermittently failing, but what????

Untill you get an IMA light you are not going to figure it out. The IMA error code reading will point you in the right direction.
I say it again, the IMA has a brain of its own.
