Default 2011 Insight Won't Start

2011 insight won't start suddenly. Went into the store for maybe 10 minutes and came out. Lights and dashboard would blink on and off and could hear clicking in rapid succession as well. Attempted to jump start to no avail. Would this be a starter issue or is the battery just completely shot? No odd noises before turning off or issues starting right before.

And probably, on the panel burns ABS-icon?
Replace or charge the battery 12v under a cowl.
It is a typical problem.

Replace battery. Count on doing so every three years.

Replace the 12V battery.

If jumping did not work probably the leads did not make full contact; it needs to.

The other car must have its engine running as the dead battery soaks up quite some. Typically a dead 12V battery has one or two cells inverted; they drain out to zero when the other cells are fully charged, and invert as soon as you try to use power from it. When you start feeding it is is almost like shorting it.
When you lad test a battery with an empty cell it will rapidly drop to around 8 Volt (as the empty cell inverts) and stay there (as the other cells are still brimmed).
