Default AM radio reception stinks

Tried out the AM radio for the first time and was quite disappointed. The reception was pretty bad when my 2012 Honda Fit with basic radio had much better reception.

Yes, I could hear what they were saying but there was a lot of annoying background noise, static, and whining.

I have the EX.

Anyone else try the AM radio?

Reception of everything else seems fine.

AM Radio does indeed suck for reception. I use iHeartRadio for my former AM stations via Android Auto. Will likely never use AM again.

Sadly I'd probably rather suffer with the reception than pay more for data on my phone.

Maybe my brain will adapt and start ignoring the poor reception.

Fortunately most of my listening is not AM but I do like to listen to an AM station once in awhile.

Talking

I listen to AM radio stations via iHeartRadio or TuneIn using Android Auto. I live in the sticks, so the quality is much better vs. over the air. I have unlimited data using my work cell phone, so it's all good.
