Default Why is the NAV system so out of date?

My 2015 Honda Touring Ed has the on board NAV system installed and updated last April 2015.. and it was already 3 verisons older than my TomTOM ..

and wjhen questioned about the version I was assured it was the latest version..

also when I want to locate a specific brand name restaurant as an example it constantly gives me a location 3700 miles away ..

why?

can't the system figure out the reverse ??

I found this after 10 seconds of googling... can you try this and report back?

This second one costs money... strange.

I don't think you can update the Insight's map via USB. I believe you have to use the DVDs. I get emails every year from Honda telling me to buy a $100 map update disc. I just use my phone...

Edit: Nevermind, I guess the new models use USB, whereas my 2010 uses DVDs.

Newscast, these guys are in Europe and their NAV systems are different. Sadly neither of them have placed their location in their profile so it is up to us to guess where they are. I'm making the assumption based on the trim level not sold in the U.S.
