Ive been calling my Insight an '03, and now realize the manufacture date was 12/02. It was sold as an '03. At number 527, what do I have, an '02 or '03?

Think about when the new models come out each year. By December of any given year, all the cars being made are the next model year. So yours is definitely an '03.

Yes, and sometimes even earlier. For example, when the Prius was first launched in 2000, it was model year "2001," even for those who took delivery as early as June.
