I'm wondering if 107 mpg is just the electric mode.

What is the EPA's mpg test scenario length anyways? If it's less than 13 miles, I can see why the Prius got such a high rating.

After the 13 miles, I'm guessing it's the same as a normal prius.

Or because it has such a high battery capacity, that when you charge and drive it daily, 107 mpg is actually what you get.

It would be intereting to see what people actually get when they start driving it.

Here is what I'm averaging in my Plug-In Prius with Hymotion pack.

126.1 MPG
83.5 MPGe

I'm using about 136Wh per mile mix mode. All EV would be between 175 and 225 Wh per mile on average.

The EPA on it will be a bit less than the standard G3. It weighs more due to the weight of the batteries etc. I had a pre-production for a few days and got up to 18 miles on straight electric. Toyota is rating it for 14 miles on straight electric up to 65 mph.

Calling it 106 mpg is far fetched.

That's what's making me question the EPA standard course. If it can go all electric in most of the course. The rating will not be accurate.

I think it should be done as such.

EV range with Wh per mile.

Charge Sustaining mode MPG.

Do not list the blended mode as its not needed.

You could extend that to include both city and highway on EV and CS mode.

Maybe even do an MPGe on the EV Wh per mile just to get a number people know.

I was curious and went to fueleconomy.gov and compared the Volt and Leaf.

The Leaf is stated as EV:
106/92 combine 99

The Volt is stated like you said:
Electric only 95/90 combined 93
Premium Gas only 35/40 combined 37

I guess the Prius will have the same kind of EPA rating scheme.

Note: The volt average over 7 people is 123mpg. Like your Prius Force.
