How many are out there over 200,000 miles? I am at 202,000 as of today. I have a lifetime mpg of 53.5. I know I am driving efficiently, its the road conditions (lots of hills) that dictate the mpg. I have had no battery problems. Replaced the cat converter at 150,000.
I have had the car almost 5 years. Got it in April of 2001. Its a 2001 with a manual transmission. I've had such good luck with this car, if the battery goes anytime soon I would replace it and keep on driving.

insight 128k miles!

I have 128 k miles and still going. Still working on the miles per gallon mods. Mine is a 2000. I bought it crashed and fixed it up. It is not salvaged so I still have honda recall priveledges and hopefully battery warranty if need be. Is the battery warranty 8 years with unlimited miles?

Re: insight 128k miles!

Hi hyesetrak and welcome to the forum :!: :)

Your correct accident damage doesn't cancel the warranty like a repaired previously totaled vehicle. :)

However, your confusing Honda's product quality update, the battery warranty extension and a recall.

Essentially a Honda product quality update can be considered a voluntary recall. And is likely to be related to something that the DOT wouldn't even consider for a mandatory "recall". Its a reflection of Honda's commitment to quality (but remember nothings perfect ;) ).

The recently announced warranty extension is similar to a product quality update. However, it is limited to a few states ( :( ) and extends the IMA battery warranty to 10 years or 150,000 miles.

HTH! :)
