2000 Citrus Honda “Off Road” Insight

I have enjoyed this car for nearly ten years along with my two other Insights, but then an Impala adopted me….
Interior shows normal wear for 22 years of service, but the seats are not torn.
The paint is original. It still looks nice, but has obvious sun damage from its time spent in Florida, especially on the roof and hood.
Air conditioning works well
Mudder’s “Off Road” modification was done to the car, eliminating the IMA battery. The space it occupied is now supported by a thick styrofoam medicine shipping cooler.
The car has the standard 5-speed manual transmission. It does have the common 3-2 downshift grind. That can be fixed with a clock tab modification, but it is just not worth it to pull and disassemble the transmission to repair it. I have found it usually does not complain about the downshift if you are between 13 – 16 mph. You can also double clutch it which works some of the time. I also simply skip the downshift most of the time.
If so desired, if you bring a new IMA battery with you after the purchase I will be glad to install it for you while you wait.
Lifetime MPG is: 70.7. I reset it in 2013 when I purchased the car.
