Bridgestone Potenza tires with 3/4 tread
Did all maintenance on car, including oil, filters, brakes, etc
Changed trans fluid twice with Honda fluid
Drained radiator fluid twice with Prestone fluid (did not flush as can create water pump issues)

My lifetime mileage with the car is currently at 85 mpg, so it gives an idea how I drive it.

Craigslist ad link below

I am selling the car because I need to drive my 90 year old mom to her doctor appointments, so I need to drive her car and sell mine. I will add some internal pictures of the car soon.

This might be an interesting car for my daughter, if a true Insight-loving-shade-tree-mechanic doesn't buy this first.

End of an era. I have enjoyed your posts and also enjoyed the boat tail build over on Ecomodder. You will be missed.

Enjoyed the boat tail tour you gave me a few years back;)

The one Insight whose lifetime mileage I would be afraid I might risk reducing.

End of an era is right, your threads on Ecomodder were probably one of the most influential in making me an Insight owner.

Hi Jim,

I enjoyed meeting you at my place, while you were on your way to Hybrid Fest some years ago. And I still remember you getting 104 mpg on your trip to Wisconsin.

Jim.

Hi,

Speaking of reducing the life-time mpg, that's what I am doing now that I am retired. I drive the car on short trips to my moms to help her, so my average MPG now is about 60 mpg.

I have met Jim and I have seen this car. I ended up with the boat tail!

Jim is a stand up guy and you would not be sorry buying this car.

From the Craigslist ad: "The lifetime fuel milage shows 85.0 mpg"!!!

It has 195k miles now, purchased at 75k miles. The Lifetime MPG was not 85 mpg when he bought it, probably closer to 65 at best.
Here's the calcs:
IF at 75k miles the LT MPG was __ then the MPG between 75k and 195k has averaged ___
55 103.8
60 100.6
65 97.5
70 94.4

Impressive numbers.
Details please. I want details.
I live less than 2 hours away (but I already own 3 and need to fix and sell 2).
