Our 2001 CVT with 50,000 miles recently began "bucking" at speeds from the mid 30s to mid 40s with low throttle settings. A quick search of previous posts leads me to think EGR valve issues.

Is this the most likely cause of our problem. I'm comfortable replacing the EGR valve and saving myself from the the long drive and incompetence of our local dealer.

Thanks for any informed replies,

Hugh

I also agree with cleaning it first. Honda has not changed the design of the EGR valve, so replacing it is only a short term solution.

Cleaning the EGR was soooooo easy and at least for now the results were a 100% reduction in prior symtoms:)

I could live with doing this procedure a couple of times per year.
