Figured I'd make a smoother intake system, since my hot air intake system fell off somewhere down the line. Simply push and more or less snaps on. Can clamp if you want to make sure. Wise to print in something higher temp, like ABS or ASA. This one is PLA just to test. Will fall off/melt eventually...

I bought my Insight with a broken spoiler mounting tab, and reading through here sounds like it is a very common failure mode. I printed this in ABS and was able to score the spoiler and attach this with an ABS slurry with pretty decent strength. I was very careful doing so, but I was able to install the hardware with a torque driver 48hrs or so after I did so (time for acetone to flash off and harden).

Take your time installing as this will effect the alignment

Hope this can help save some perfectly good spoilers!

Love it! Are there any markings on the inside of the trim that say what plastic it is? The rear spoiler is ABS, which makes it super easy to glue to. I'd assume the window trim is polypropylene? Should be able to find a suitable adhesive to get ABS prints to stick very well if that's the case.

It's marked as ABS+PA6, so I'll just be slapping some ABS cement in there once I have all of my parts ready.

Yeah, I repaired the passenger a-pillar of my car and have had it up over 90 mph with no problems (obviously on a closed course with a professional driver)

When I bought my Insight last year it was missing the screw cover for the dash that's on the right side of the two center vents. I designed a replacement that matches the vent contours decently well and the fit of the PETG print has been solid for the past 6 months or so.

Not sure if there are other solutions to replacing this particular piece... I hardly know what to call it, which made searching around for it difficult. In any case, this design ended up being a cheap/easy fix for me and I've been happy not looking at the exposed screw head/cracked plastic on my dash anymore.
