Really weird. Honda usually uses a lot of loctite on their bolts, something my dad found out when rebuilding one of their outboard boat motors. I did have a Honda that they missed using thread sealant on a hatch latch. Once again, my hat if off to you for taking this job on. Reminds me of my neighbor who converted his Civic from an automatic to a stick in the driveway.
There wasn't any loctite on any of the bolts. Not on the donor car and parts either. The workers removing the sensor even said wow no loctite. Probably would have been a good idea, even for me to have added some to the new part before putting it back in. But I guess I'll have another 10 years before having to worry. Part is from a 2012 crz. Even 2 years will be fine. Need to make money driving with the car.
Of course, so they can charge. Go figure. I appreciate both of your inputs, thank you. I figured it was something like that but thought there might be a way to jump the connectors or fuses. Thank you though.
I would like to know if this procedure could work to read blink codes on ZE2 : link available in 99mpg.com under categories/insight/readingtheblinkcod/
Otherwise, is there another solution to read blink codes on Insight Gen 2
Hi, I am at the point my Insight is haunting me in my dreams. We own a 2012 facelift (wife’s car), which recently suffered un unpleasant event: timing chain jumped and messed up the valves, as expected. Instead of trying to get it fixed, I chose to replace the engine with a unit with 23000 km on...
So my IMA light came on today. Checked and its P0a7f fault. How long do I have until its completely gone? Seems to be charging and assisting ok. Will it still start and drive for a while or will it need to be done asap?
My Honda 2011 has suddenly developed an odd and potentially dangerous glitch. If I am making a sharp turn to the left, on an exit ramp or a round-about, my driver's side door unlocks and the 'open door' light comes on. Has anyone else experienced this? I will be taking it in to Honda service...
My 2011 Honda Insight with 120,000 miles and no significant accidents has suddenly developed this potentially dangerous problem, that on sharp turns, such as a curving exit ramp and a roundabout, the front doors unlock and the ‘open door’ warn Light appears. Anyone else have this problem? Going...
