Hybrid Automotive's instructions for attaching positive connection to the far end of the resistor under the orange power wires suggest you remove a cluster of connectors over the target spade connector. You don't have to do that. There's a trick that will enable you to remove the plastic-encased connector. It has a molded-in flex plastic release button on the side toward the front of the car. Put your right hand in under the orange cables and feel this button with your thumb. What you're feeling isn't just the button, but also a rigid bump just to the right of the button. Your thumb can't depress the button because of the bump and also it seems to need depressing below the surrounding plastic. The trick: Note where your thumb contacts the bump. Then tape a thumbtack to your thumb (point outward!) at this location. Cut off the point, so that about 1/8 inch of the shaft remains. When you put your hand back in, this protruding tack can depress the button, and off it comes!
