Can anybody tell me how to troubleshoot MIL Circuit on my 2000 Insight?
All my fights are flashing with no DTC showing after a IMA battery bypass for a failed BCM DTC P1648(64)

We need a lot more detail. Pics etc.

Why is it bypassed?
Who said you had a failed BCM?
Who has looked at the problem?
What have they done?

I had a code for 1648(64) found the bcm had 2 burned resistors and 2 burned transistors.
I decided to just bypass the battery because you can buy a lot of gas for the price of the BCM.
I am disabled on a fixed income and drive mostly highway miles 95% of the time.

I disconnected the connectors from the BCM to bypass and keep the DC-DC to charge the 12 volt

It sounds like your IMA battery might have serious internal leakage issues, is it still in the car? Turned on?

Can you post pics of the burnt resistors in the BCM?

You can get a secondhand BCM for about 25$ but don't fit it until our investigation is complete.

It did have. About 4 of the sticks had the ptc issue. I removed the strips and put in a 30ohm resistor. Battery charges up fine 164 voltsThe Bcm is burnt
I can post pictures in the morning But thats a mute point as I am bypassing the ima.
The only BCM I have found where $75 on ebay.
Im at the point now where I just want to use the battery bypass and get the mil’s to stop flashing.
the DC-DC is putting out 14 volts to the 12 volt battery.
I just dont have a bunch of money to replace modules
Just would like to fix all the MIL’s from flashing

What lights are flashing exactly? Can you film it and upload to YT..
Do you mean just CEL and IMA or ABS, SRS as well?

The battery bypass and arduino stuff to keep the lights off is on here you need to dig it up and have a read.

As far as bypassing goes it depends how far you are going?

1) Just unplugging BCM/MCM?
2) Removing HV battery and switchboard?
3) Removing all above and the MDM and swapping to a meanwell/arduino setup.

The flashing lights are DTC indicators. They should not be flashing unless you....

1) Have stored codes and have deliberately shorted the SCS OBDII line to ground.
2) Or there is a weird fault?

You need to count the blinks and work out the stored codes for each module, SRS, ABS, EPS, CEL, IMA etc

long blink = 10 short blink = 1 , so two long and one short = 21.

There might be several codes for each light, they keep repeating in a loop.
One of the codes for the IMA light is 64.

Work out all the codes and post them here.

I have found there was 70 volts between/across the negative cable from the output of the MPI and the negative output of the DC/DC.
