Hello All ,

I interested in putting seat covers in my 2000 Insight #5121. After searching the web I've noticed most are for 01-up .. Is there any difference between the 00 and the 01 seats ??
Thanks

As I understand it, there were no changes made to the design of the vehicle since it was introduced. Therefore, I believe the seats should be the same model in every Honda Insight year.

According to the parts list I have, the seats in a 2000 are different than in all newer Insights. But they look the same AFAIK, so I would expect seat covers to fit the same. Could be wrong here.

I got mine from WetOkole (http://www.wetokole.com) . They are AWESOME! They are made of wetsuit material, so they resist staining and don't get super-hot.
They are 2 piece covers, so they don't slide all around and they fit like a GLOVE. The add about 1.5 inches of much-needed padding to the seats, plus they put the Insight logo on them for me, so they look like they might have come with the car.

I very, very highly recommend them! When I called them they already had the necessary information about the Insight seats too, so I didn't have to give them special dimensions or anything. They are a little expensive (~$300 for a set of two), but after having them for nearly 2 years (and 60K miles of sitting) they still look new.

I put some pictures up on my website of them for you to see, if you are interested.

Unrelated, but I also have a cute pic of my insight with my 1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500:

Great seat covers, Jim. The padding looks comfortable.

As you say, cute picture of your two small blue cars - shame about the monster pick-up in the background!

Heh...yeah that's my neighbor. He's a nice enough fellow, just suffers from some "compensation issues". ;-)

He had the truck shipped down to Texas to get it modified (naturally...everything is bigger in Texas, you know) - the mods cost him more than the purchase price of the truck.

We were both cleaning the cars that weekend...I cleaned and detailed my Insight and my Spit in about half the time it took him to do his monster vehicle. :)
