About to place an IMA battery from a CVT into a MT. Just wanted to confirm there are no differences (battery, BCM, MDM).
Thanks

No, when I bought my CVT and it needed a battery when it came to sell it, I swapped the battery from my insight, along with the MCM/BCM directly into it with no issues. Then when I got another used battery it was from a CVT and it worked great.

Based on my MCM research on an MT, I don't see any reason Honda would need to change the MCM hardware on a CVT. I suspect any differences are firmware only (e.g. how much power MCM commands based on ECM request). If anyone has CVT MCM pictures, I'd love to compare the layouts.

They are physically the same, it's just minor firmware differences.

IIRC it was mainly limited assist at low mph to protect CVT start clutch.
We put a manual transmission MCM in the UK CVT rally car to defeat that.

Don't quote me on that though it's a few years ago now. ;)
