We must take full advantage that our Insights use small 14" wheels. These small tires are so much cheaper then 15" and 16" tires.

In fact I bought 13" Honda VX alloy rims (8lbs each) and I have an appointment this saturday to install 175/70R13 Toyo Observe GO-2+ winter tires. These premium quality and premium priced tires will cost me less then the price of the cheapest 15" winter tires you can buy!

If you are on a budget just buy cheap 13" steel rims made for civics.
And even if you buy the cheapest winter tires they are much much better then the most expensive all season tires in winter conditions.

When I'm driving around I wish everyone around me had winter tires too.

Finally someone who agrees with my philosophy of using narrower tires in the winter!
Oh yes, skinny tires in the snow are the only way to go.

World Rally Championship (WRC) rally cars all use skinny knobby tires when they race on the snow and ice in Sweden. It's amazing too see race cars with such skinny tires thrashing through snow and ice covered dirt roads in the thick of the forest. Just breath taking.
