GOOD NEWS - Covered by warranty.

Light (pic of engine) came on indicating emission problems. Two trips to Honda, two days wait and I have a new converter.

Same day I find out there is a product update on the IMA and a boost to 150,000 miles on the battery. Can't take much more of this good news.

Now I'm looking forward to the battery going out at around 140,000 miles. [/b]

catalytic converter

Just got word my 2000 needs one as well. The dealer is checking to see if Honda will supply one. Apparently, they are failing more often than they should and they need some to tear into so they can figure out why they are failing. So, maybe I will get a new one at a reduced price - possibly zero + labor. But I'm not holding my breath.

According to the dealer, my 100k extended warranty doesn't cover the catalytic converter (I'm at 93k miles). He didn't say how much they cost, but said it was high $$.

What details do you have on the 150k battery? Just got mine replaced and was told the warranty on the new battery pack was for 80k miles.

Don't know where you are located, but in Maryland mine cost just under $1200.
