Problem:

1. Main battery gauge indicates battery is charging.
2. Battery does not hold charge overnight.
3. Battery life and charge decreases daily after the previous day of highway driving.
4. Accerelation performance is suffering.
5. MPG dropped from 46 to 33.

Car purchased 3/3/04. Problems started appearing 3 days ago.

Anyone else has this problem.

What kind of vehicle? Insight or Civic Hybrid?

Where are you located?

These are things that you should post.

OK I think I've got it figured out, you have a Civic Hybrid, or else you are geting lousy mileage in an Insight.

Anyhow. If your IMA battery gauge is going down over night, you definately have a problem.

Suggest you take it to the dealer and have the Hybrid Tech put the car on his super duper ($5,000) PGM meter and he can tell exactly what the problem is.

Now we're geting closer.
It's an 04 Insight, maybe an 03 ?

If you are talking about the "yellow gauge" definately get to a dealer and have it checked out. (It shows the status of the IMA battery)

Like I said before, with it on the diagnostic PGM the tech can tell exactly what is wrong with the system, even without an IMA light.

Are you possibly on the west coast?
