Good luck on the sale. How come no pics of the engine bay on E-bay?
Beautiful looking car.
Worth every penny I'm sure.

"The car can average 31mpg easily and monitored with the Scanguage 2 which is directly linked to the ECU via OBD2 in real time."

"FCD works fine but is not needed as the car is at 65 LIfe-time MPG and *climbing due to the Kswap"

These two statements (from your add) appear to be incongruous. Is that *, merely, an errant spelling of the word "dropping", or is there something I'm missing? 'Cause if I could get mileage like that, from a K-swap, you can bet your as.......terisk...

If the FCD is not hooked up properly, all driving will be recorded as either 150 MPG or ∞ MPG, which will easily make the LMPG appear to increase when it isn't. Take a look at the video Ecky posted of his K-swap for example.

"FCD works fine" -- is this just the instantaneous mpg meter, or the entire FCD system?

very big thanks, Willie!
there a few engine bay pictures in there, but i wasnt sure which pic to put for the main, maybe i should go with an engine bay pic? the main pic is a little boring, tho i have noticed every other insight listed is facing left while mine is the only one facing right, maybe thats enough to set it apart?

i may change up the picture order tonight, ive been trying to advertize it as much as i can everywhere else as it only has about 8days left on the auction, im astounded but it even hit HondaProJason's page!!! he really enjoyed reading the description, he told me. i did ask him to drive it, but he wont be in ohio until later this summer and i am in the process of moving soooo everything is kinda up in the air.
only sure thing right now is how reliable and solid this car has been for me.

simple answer is Insight gauge cluster is not made to communicate with 4cylinder ECUs

"the FCD works fine just means the Button is not broken like on other older insights. its still able to change the caculations but wont work for reading the actual instantaneous MPG"

mpg numbers guy is right, the Cluster in these cars are not like analog guages. they do grab data from the ecu and sensors like other cars but the gauges themselves are like a computer between.
the gauges get signals and calculates them to show on the LCD display like the s2000, there needs to be a lot of go between wiring to change the MPG gauge on the dash, since it is not grabbing the info anymore, the FCD pretty much maxes out because it does not have info from injectors etc.

so the little Scangauge2 on the lower left of the wheel reads out Water Temperature, Accurate RPM, Average MPG, and calculated MPG as taken directly from the ECU through OBD2
in truth the Scangauge2 can read anything the ECU displays via OBD2 in real time upto 4 items at once. the ones i listed are my preferred for everyday

yes, the FCD button broke on my other k24 ksight and i simply removed it, it was funny because i kept reading about it, and then it finally happened to me
so since i know it's an annoying issue that happens, i made a point to note that the "Button" is still good. I wish I could change that simple sentence to
"FCD Button Works fine but is not needed etc....."
but ebay wont let me revise the description, but I am happy ppl are reading all of it, which is great because it's a great car to drive and write about. :)

Such a nice car.
Hope you get some good bids.

What kind of 0-60 time would you estimate.
Or 1/4 mile? Any idea?
hey thanks buddy, i did get some good bids recently ;)
if i ever spent the time learning how to use the performance features of the scangauge2, it could calculate 0-60 time and quarter mile times for me.

id estimate 0-60 is easily around 4seconds
my best quarter mile time was 14.5ish before the shift light and launch control, and it was only the second time ive ever done drag racing at a track.

id estimate this car is easily 13second quarter mile times, especially with some better tires! my friend k-insight on instagram ran a 11's with a stock typeS swap and drag slicks. the engine in this car pretty much makes TypeS power thanks to the aggressive cams, tune, and intake/exhaust combo!

So, is it 14.5 or 15.4? Because this post says

Time usually shows how well the driver can drive, while MPH usually shows how much HP the engine is making.

You're way too optimistic of your 0-60 number. ScanGauge II can do 0-60 recording time, if your speedo calibration is correct. https://www.scangauge.com/products/scangauge-ii/

Judging from your 1/4 mile and the SI review below, I'd say your 0-60 is closer to 7.6 seconds than 4 second

im just curious what kind of power it makes??
Engine is the same from a Honda Civic SI.

we never got it on a dyno to see exactly, but when it was email tuned before the intake was added, the virtual dyno said about 182whp.
that was overestimating the car weight at 2200lbs with me in it. Im starting to think its much higher because at 1850lbs stock curb weight, removing the 75lbs of hybrid batteries and adding nearly that in extra engine weight, i probably shouldve guessed it was around 2000lbs with me in it.

adding the virtual dyno, and some pix of the stack of dealer maintenance the car came with

i no longer have the drag slips from last year but i did make a IGTV video showing the exact times in a edit, last year. So id say the higher time, because im not drag racer

my second time down the quarter mile ever in my life and i didnt have the launch control or shift light set up, so bouncing off the limiter slowed me down. im confident the car is 13second capable or faster with fresh street tires!

lol u assume the engine is still stock ;)
this is no ordinary K20A3!! it has TSX cams which are the largest OEM kseries cams with TSX rockers which add actual VTEC instead of iVTEC.
theres an old video of the lumpy tuned idle when i first set it up a few years back and got it tuned.
the Cam set up is so aggressive that without a tune, this engine set up wouldnt even run.
look up "VTEC Killer setup", its a way to add true VTEC to iVTEC engines as iVTEC engines do not have the "Lost motion Assemblies" that VTEC engines have.

and the scangauge2 is calibrated to accurate mileage calculation as well as the dash so i think ill drive the car tomorrow and try the Scangauge2 performance modes

i dedicate this win to insight drivers everywhere!

Guys! We MADE IT!! Another Insight Showing the world why we love this Chassis!!!! High fives, Cheers, and Beers all around!! Comradery at an all time high!!

It isn't even on "Nice Price or Crack Pipe"
Got it's own LOOK AT THIS AMAZING CAR feature
i couldnt believe it, i got a hot tip from a friend on instagram about the first article where the writer mentioned he wished he had a K20 swapped insight and emailed and linked to the sale. he messaged back asking what engine it had, and next thing i kno; my fellow forum and local friend was texting me the link!
ive always dreamed of getting one of my builds posted on Jalopnik! My life is now Complete!! :D:D:D

lol i think i got lucky on the NPoCP, really dodged the bullet, there's a ton of haters and trolls out there who cant seem to stand the ZE1 at all (gosh, they act like we drive prius's or sumthing)! some of those comments are just... wow... not sure where some of these guys get their info from... but it was awesome to see our very own @ericbecky post amazing pix of his ksight to some very good responses.

id actually be very happy to keep the car if it dosnt sell, id enjoy parking it right next to my s2k forever (its been super handy to have, getting me to work when my other 2 cars are down), especially since this car and my s2k have modified LED headlights and similar quarter times...
Speakinnng of Quarter times;
took the car on the freeway to try out the performance gauge on the scangauge2, and put down some nice pulls (and rubber :D) with the shift light and launch control!

For everyone asking the 0-60; from a dead stop, i got 6seconds from off the ribbed burm on the freeway and continued on to about 14.6 quarter mile estimation!

for the next pull, i launched the car hard and spun a bit, then lightly short shifting 2nd for a 5.8 zero to 60!!! and winded it all the way out in 4th to 99mph on the dash for an amazing 14.4 quarter!!!
and believe me, this thing is calibrated exact, and much like a mustang dyno it does not err in your favor, its pretty strict in calculations!! the shift light and learning how to properly bang the flight yoke shifter doubled really helpped exponentially!

also the D2 springs are a bit bouncy on the 35mph crappy cleveland roads but really hunker down smooth at highway speeds, and despite the silly comments on jalopnik, it is the definition of corner on Rails!!
