First post here. I hope to acquire an Insight this summer. Question is, has anyone fit Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.5" in the Insight Door panels? These were a VERY tight fit in my '00 Civic and required some plastic to be cut out of the door. I'm guessing they may not fit in the Insight as I would imagine the door panels do not have as much depth. What are some of the largest speakers that have fit in the Insight?

Did you see this? It mentions some BA drivers but a different model. It's also a bit out-of-date. But maybe you can compare the dimensions of your speakers with those that others have used.

I have the Eclipse speakers mentioned in that article. I had to cut away some of the stock speaker cover with a razor knife.

Check out my post "My experience upgrading my speakers". The maximum mounting depth of speakers in the door panels is around 2 inches. However, you can cut away part of the speaker cradle if your Boston speakers are deeper than this.
