Hey all!
TLDR: Don't buy Sylvania Zevo 7443R LED lights. They're dangerously dim in the Gen1 Insight.
Here's a photo, where the driver's side is the LED and the right side is a generic bulb:
That's right... the "Super Bright" red at full brightness only approaches the brightness of the stock driving lights. The reason? It has only a pair of LED units, and both face towards the reflector - all the surfaces facing rearward are heat sink and not light emitting. Thankfully, O'Reilly Auto Parts cheerfully refunded my money and I grabbed a fresh pair of incandescents.
I'll keep you posted if I find a suitable replacement LED. Anyone have any suggestions?
