A big SUV trying to pass me on the right on a freeway on ramp clipped my mirror and broke it off. I was stopped in traffic and he was going about 2 mph.
The repair cost $287 and Honda got the parts to my body shop in about 9 days. The body shop replaced the mirror in 2 hours.
Not bad, I was worried it would take months for the part to be shipped from Japan. Also, the mirrors come pre-painted.
I was terribly upset at the first accident in my little baby (silver 2005 CVT, LMPG 57.8).
Thank goodness the SUV stopped and exchanged insurance info. It was a Nissan XTerra and it was dented and had a lot of silver paint above the headlight.
