I think I must be doing something wrong. I can't get the USB audio to work. It always says "unsupported". I can burn the exact same music files to a CD (as files, not music tracks) and it plays them fine, but of course doesn't support track names, etc...only folder and track numbers.

For those who are using the USB audio option with a USB memory stick - did you do anything special? What filesystem format is your driver formatted with (mine is FAT with 64 KB clusters).

I was having this problem too with my 2010 Honda Insight EX, before I googled this and found a blog post with a solution to this problem. Try this...

* Download the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool from this site:

HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool | Peripherals Download | PC World

* Install it on your computer.

* Reformat the USB drive using this software. Please back up anything you have the drive before doing this.

* Copy your music files to the newly formatted USB drive.

This should work and the USB interface should recognize the drive without any errors. I think this is an issue with the newer drives that are used with Microsoft Vista. Let me know if this works.

Awesome! It is something with Vista, I guess...because I decided to try formatting the drive as FAT32 in Windows7 and it works.

Do you know if there happens to be a way to make it show the title of the track instead of the file name? If not, then I gotta rename my files - on my PC I just rely on the tag info.

Mine shows the title of each mp3 file I have on my drive that I use for the USB interface in my car. I know that for a fact, because I always have my filenames in this format:

Artist - Song.mp3

But it shows the title instead. However I do have the stereo that comes with the Honda navigation system that I bought with the car. What stereo do you have?

It is there...you just have to press the Title button a few times. I was expecting it to automatically rotate between them and when it defaulted to the file name and I didn't see how to change the option I gave up...didn't see it in the manual, I need to reread it to see what else I missed.
