0035 ('00, 160,00km/100,000 miles) is now in its sixth winter, and has given us no electrical or mechanical problems except for O2 sensor replacement early in its life.

We're now seeing the battery pack charge indicator falling more quickly than in the past, and recharging more slowly, on the commuting route it's been taking every working day since we got it. This is a milder winter (so far) than any other.

Any one with a similar experience? Are we headed for battery pack replacement?

Thanks for the prompt reply, and for the summary it contains. Much appreciated.

I've read through the Recals, Forced Charge, etc thread (and thanks for that link). Reckon we've had good service from 0035 so far, given the other posters' accounts.

The reference in that discussion to the headlights-on trick for avoiding forced charges raises another issue -- I wonder if it might explain a few things. We run with the always-on daytime running lights required under Canadian law. Sort of a lower-than-low-beam headlight setting. Could that explain the absence of recals from our experience? That doesn't mean we haven't had recals, just that we haven't noticed them.
