basically what i want to do is change all of the lights in my dashboard and climate control to purple and dark blue to match my new paint job.

i've seen cars with normal dash displays change colors by replacing/painting the led's behind all the gauges. since we have an all digital interface how would one go about changing it.... is it even possible?

any help is appreciated

It can be done, you basically have to replace the lumenous layer of the gauge cluster with LED's of the color you want. There was a good thread at s2ki.com forums a few years ago I remember seeing, but can't seem to find it any more. As far as I know no one has ever attempted it with an Insight, but it should be doable.
